Electrical Technical Officer (Oil / Gas / Chemical Tankers)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of electrical, electronic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic automation systems.
• Handle electrical / electronic / electro-hydraulic/electro-pneumatic/ automation equipment failures and carry out fault diagnosis with the aim to resolve the issue.
• Evaluate the planned maintenance schedule for fleet electrical, electronic, electro-hydraulic, and electro-pneumatic automation systems, as well as power generation, backup power sources, and fire detection systems, and then submit the findings to the technical manager.
• Study areas for improvements and modifications on electro/automation system and create methodical recommendations for efficient operation of the vessel.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years of onboard sea going vessels experience as an Electrical Technical Officer in oil/gas/chemical tankers or offshore support vessels.
• Hands on experience in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills encompassing various areas such as electrical, instrumentation, automation, control, as well as air conditioning and ventilation systems.

Salary: $4,000 to $5,000
